Ancient Surfaces began as a private practice — quietly acquiring antique limestone mantels and architectural fragments from chateaux, farmsteads and country residences across France, Italy and Spain.

Today we work with a small circle of architects, interior designers and private clients who share our conviction that authentic, hand-carved stone cannot be replicated — only inherited.

Every piece is researched, documented and conservatively restored where needed, always preserving the patina and proportions that give reclaimed stone its irreplaceable character.
